To honor the 78th birthday of Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog synthesizer, Google changed their homepage to an interactive Moog Google Doodle. Thankfully, it took one musician only .03 seconds to figure out how to play the Mario Brothers theme. After that, other musicians caught on pretty quickly.

I’m so happy I can finally scratch “Hear the Mario Brothers theme played on a Moog Synthesizer” off my bucket list. It was a double whammy day since I also scratched off “Figure out what a Moog synthesizer is.” The video below is from PinguAngry.

Musician Aaron Isles has uploaded a dozen videos of his incredible skills to his YouTube channel. If Mario Brothers isn’t your thing, maybe you will appreciate his rendition of  Gotye’s 'Somebody That I Used to Know’.

According to his blog, he’s been up for hours perfecting each cover song. Listen to the video below and tell me that doesn’t sound JUST like “Cars” from Gary Numan. You can’t.

Yes, that song will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, but you know it was worth it.
