Angelo State University’s Chamber Singers and Vocal Ensemble will perform a tribute to musical theatre composers for the 12th annual Pops at the Pavilion concert this Thursday, April 24, at the ASU Pavilion next to the Plaza Verde residence hall, 1941 S. Van Buren St.
Titled “Legends of Broadway,” the outdoor concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.

The program will feature favorites by Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, the Gershwin brothers and the song-writing teams of Rodgers and Hammerstein and Styne-Sondheim.  Show pieces from Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story” and Marvin Hamlisch’s “A Chorus Line” will round out the program.

ASU’s Chamber Singers and Vocal Ensemble are directed by Dr. Pamela Lee, professor of music and director of choral activities.
